The Octopus Project
The Octopus Project
After releasing 2007's Hello, Avalanche, an engaging album that netted praise from Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, Wired, Pitchfork, Stereogum and a zillion blogs, The Octopus Project settled into a relentless touring schedule that took the band to nine countries and a handful of major music festivals. As the band members added thousands of miles to their odometer, long drives soundtracked by minimal classic composers Terry Riley and Steve Reich led to thoughts about how to expand the scope of their own endeavors. Already known for concise blasts of experimental pop and energetic stage shows, The Octopus Project wanted to create a deeper sound, a more enveloping experience.
SORNE
SORNE
In the last few years, Morgan Sorne has written over 80 songs. The first 13 were released in 2011 in his debut album, House of Stone, and he's working on releasing more this year on his sophomore record, "ego altar." The album will feature songs from the perspectives of the five siblings, the star characters of the House of Stone saga.

Set in no particular time or place, the story speaks of family relationships, focusing on the death of the father and highlighting Sorne's obsession with the Divine Mother. House of Stone grew in his mind for years, the characters initially born as direct reflections of his mother and her siblings. House of Stone evolved from childhood views of family into characters with a life of their own, each representing, in Sorne's words, "archetypes of the human condition." Today, SORNE the band includes Morgan, Kevin Naquin and Deano, along with a production team that brings Sorne's music and visual artistry to life.

This past summer, SORNE caught the attention of Kyp Malone, Tunde Adebimpe and Jaleel Bunton of TV on the Radio and were asked to open for them on a short tour, performing to sold-out crowds at such prestigious venues as The Fillmore in Miami Beach, House of Blues in Orlando, Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, Jannus Live in St.Petersburg and Cains Ballroom in Tulsa,OK., amongst others.

In 2012, SORNE performed with international acts TV on the Radio, Beats Antique, James Blake, Dr, Dog, Dawes, Blitzen Trapper, Little Dragon, Rubblebucket and more. SORNE is poised to make 2013 a break out year.
Zorch
Zorch is a duo from Austin, TX. Composed of Zac Traeger (keyboards, omnichord, vocals) and Shmu (drums, omnichord, vocals), the two hail from Wisconsin and Canada respectively. The duo met in Boston and began recording dozens of improvisational mixtapes, which, after moving to Austin in 2009, would help lay the foundation for Zorch. Since that pivotal move, they've quickly made a home for themselves in the city's DIY scene, building a reputation on their intense and visual live shows and fan interaction.
Holiday Mountain
Holiday Mountain
"They've come from a distant plane to make us dance like we're insane."
-Raw Paw

"Unconventional in all the right ways, Become Who You Are shows Holiday Mountain are ready for the big time and marks them as a band to watch."
-Performer Magazine

Holiday Mountain is a three-piece psych-dub-pop workout operating out of Austin, TX. Formed in Boston in 2010 as a compliment to the songs of Laura PatiΓ±o, Holiday Mountain has been through several incarnations before settling into it's current trio configuration. Since moving to Austin in 2012 they are hard at work making a home for themselves in the city's diverse musical community while building upon their tradition of fan interaction and their reputation as a formidable dance act.

In early 2012 they released their debut LP Become Who You Are with guitarist Mike Simonelli. The ten track album showcases the band's musical range and creative ambitions through it's monstrous dub grooves, psychedelic space journeying, pounding surf-reggae, electro western disco, 1960s island grooves, tight jungle breaks, flourishes of electronics and hip hop backbeats.

Most recently Holiday Mountain performed before a packed crowd of more than 1500 fans and spectators for their headlining show at Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art. Other highlights include a rave review of their album in Performer Magazine, a spot as the weekly feature on Foundwaves.com, and press coverage from both The Boston Globe and CBS Boston.

Now hard at work on fresh material for their next album, Holiday Mountain promises new excursions into the land of electro-pop, chugging organ blues, psychedelic latin grooves, hyper-obese dub reggae, hip hop breaks, and a deeper look into their already established sound.
Major Major Major
MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR is a two piece garage pop band from Austin influenced by the energy and rawness of garage punk bands like Ty Segall and WAVVES with the poppy hooks of power pop bands such as Big Star.

Frontman Adrian Sebastian and drummer Andrew Torrey have been playing music together for the past 2 years in Austin, TX. Although originally a 4 piece, Adrian and Andrew decided to take a new direction by arranging their previous sound to adapt to a raw in your face two piece set up. MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR frequents Austin venues such as The Parish, Mohawk and 29th Street Ballroom and are also going on tour in December 2012.

We have shared stages with Japanther, WAVVES, Octopus Project, Peelander-Z, Baths, Starfucker, Holy Fuck, Octopus Project, and Fastball.
