The North Door, nestled in 501 Studios, is the latest chapter in a story spanning over 30 years of history in
Austin’s film and video production community. Built in 1980 by 501 Studios founder Richard
Kooris, our space has served as a sound stage for a multitude of local and national shoots.

From Stevie Ray Vaughan videos to commercial spots to feature films, we’ve seen it all.

Today, The North Door is a multi-use facility. In addition to serving as one of Austin’s top performance
venues, featuring a diverse offering of live music programming and full bar service, we are
available for your needs as a professional production stage.

Day rental: Rates range from $150-$300 per hour dependent upon staffing and technical needs/use of space.
